Stu Scott's Ridiculous Deaf Poetry Slam

Thursday, October 11, 2007

Amazing job by C-Motts at Mister Irrelevant on pulling this video. He told me before doing so that Stu Scott did some Poetry on SC this morning and I thought...Okay, he was just being dumb sitting at the desk and freestyling on Joe Torre or something. But no! This is something sooooo much worse......

What in the hell was that? You know what??? I give up. You've defeated me ESPN. I've tried for a year to tell you crap like Who's Now was asinine and it makes you lose the credibility you once had, but you have gone above and beyond that. You win.

I broke my remote last night when that came on after the great Navy vs Pitt football game. The remote wasnt working and my head was about to exploded due to Mr Scott. I proceeded to throw the remote against the wall and to my amazement it exploded.

I then just got up and turned the tv off.

When I saw that this morning I was wondering how long until you got the video up. Almost blew cherios all over my TV.

What a pretentious prick.

How cheap does LeAnne Schreiber feel right now. I mean, they didn't have to do this shit THE SAME DAY she releases her scathing column.

awful as it was.... it's nothing different from what Stuart Scott does at the anchor desk every freakin night anyway...

I happened to be watching this morning. I think we should make Stu end all of his longer riffs end with "Spoken word." It'd be something to look forward to, especially if they turned the lights out on him each time.

He couldn't think of anything to rhyme with "Lemme Know"?

I was falling asleep last night when it aired and thought I was dreaming it until I saw the replay this morning. And ESPN wonders why people think they're a joke.

Spoken Word.

What trash. This pisses me off. It's as if ESPN does this ridiculous crap just to thumb its collective nose at the audience. "What are you going to? WATCH FSN? Hahahaha! We own you!"

Seriously, ESPN execs can't be that out of touch with their viewers and/or reality, can they? CAN THEY?!

wow. it's almost as if they are giving stu free reign to just do anything he wants. perhaps they want him to kill his own career, but i dont know if they realize that he's taking SC down in the process.

even if you're not biased against ESPN in any way, i see no way you can watch that and not find it ridiculous and awful.

Yeah I saw that this morning, but he's done that once or twice before in the past year or so. It's always the same awful garbage. Please just show highlights with witty commentary. That's all we ask. It's not much

So let me get this straight. There were 12 hockey games last night. But Sportscenter only shows highlights from 3 of them and replaces highlights of the other 9 with Stu doing poetry and stories on baseball teams already eliminated from the playoffs. Way to cover sports ESPN. I could get more sports coverage from watching Bravo.

Moose, you're exactly right. Completely ignore hockey since it's on a different network, and pour nearly five times as much coverage into an eliminated team as the impending LCS. It makes ZERO sense. Now's the time for someone (or someones) with a lot of money to put together a viable competitor to ESPN.

I'm still waiting to be entertained. Wasn't the original purpose of the "E" in ESPN so that they could show those dreadful early-morning business news programs?

I could only watch about 2-3 seconds of it before I had one of those "severely embarrassed to be a human" twinges.

Here's my question: how do his co-workers look him in the eyes (or eye) and not laugh?

kyle, you are right. Mark Cuban should give up on buying the Cubs, and start a HDSN.

Remember when Sportscenter was appointment television at 6:00 and 11:00? Me neither.

ESPN's problem is they think they are the center of the universe(that's why the ramble about the Yankees all the time, they and their fans have that in common) They are all about marketing themselves and their mediocre personalities, rather than just sticking to sports talk, watch a weekday episode of Sportscenter, more than half of it is pathetic debates on repetitive issues that they talk about everyday.

They have an incredible arrogance that seeps it's way down from the top all the way to their pathetic radio shows, in particular they circle jerk each other over their SC ratings, when Professional Wrestling routinely gets triple or better ratings..Think about that.

ESPN is trying to draw in the younger generation, the problem is..they always show shitty male enhancement commercials, their young wannabe anchors who think they are cool are on par with Skreetch from saved by the bell. And they think everyone wants to hear about Football 24/7, seriously I could give a fuck about you guys trying to break down the cover 2 and your GHEY fluff stories that Tom Ranoldi has every god damn week.
