ESPN Releases Preseason MNF Schedule

Thursday, April 03, 2008

Tirico, Jaws, and Tony will get four games to get prepped for the 2008 NFL season starting August 7th and all seem to have an angle for the trio to talk about. They get Matt Leinart to talk about the first game, Brett Favre and Chad Johnson for the second, the Super Bowl Champs in the third, and LT in the fourth.

Here's the schedule.....

Thursday, Aug. 7 (8 p.m.)- New Orleans Saints at Arizona Cardinals
Monday, Aug. 11 (8 p.m.)- Cincinnati Bengals at Green Bay Packers
Monday, Aug. 18 (8 p.m.)- Cleveland Browns at New York Giants
Monday, Aug. 25 (8 p.m.)- Seattle Seahawks at San Diego Chargers

Matt Leinart vs. Reggie Bush. I can see it now. It'll be a USC Lovefest, ESPN style. I won't be surprised if they bring in Brent Musberger and Keyshawn Johnson to join in on the "fun."

Um, I don't think Favre will be in the second game.

That's a long train ride to Phoenix for Mr. Tony.

Anon...an angle is something for announcers to "talk" about. I know it's a tough concept to understand.

You forgot to include American Idol, Hillary CLinton and other topics that have nothing to do with a football and will be brought up by Tony Korny.

I wish they would have canned that guy.

@gmoney:

if the train ride doesn't offer enough time to prepare some more jokes, maybe the extra time he has after being offered a buyout by the Post (revealed on PTi today) will do the trick.

If I have to hear about his fantasy team again, I'm going to snap.

2 'west coast' games for Mr Tony.

Let the kvetching begin.

ESPN has ruined MNF. Talk about that stupid crap at halftime, not while a play is going on.
