AA Welcomes Two New Members To The Blogosphere

Monday, August 06, 2007

We are an all-inclusive group in the 'Sphere so I thought I would take the time to welcome a few noobs to the land of the blog. As long as you entertain us you're allowed to stay okay? Good...glad we're on the same page. Both our newest members are brought to you by Fox Sports.

First up....Jay Mohr

Considering he's been on both CNNSI and ESPN (and let go)...I'm banking on this endeavour failing as well. Now if you did that Walken impression every Video Blog post then I could possibly be persuaded. You are also married to Nikki Cox and any photos of her couldn't hurt. Also, being a regular guest of Jim Rome could help with your posts....please bash him early and often. I'm not comfortable currently liking him.

I take it back...I might read Jay Mohr's blog.

Second....Curt Menefee

Welcome Curt. You have a full time job now thanks to Joe Buck heading back into the booth, so you definitely have stuff to write about. You've got a MySpace Page too...that's so Now. You even posted pictures from a trip to Egypt. The Sphinx is pretty rad if you ask me Your first assignment is to go to each Training Camp and blog about each team. That's a pretty sweet gig. Let's see what you had to say about the Cardinals....

"It wasn't just the blown leads like the infamous 20-point one at home to the Bears in that Monday Night game, nor the fact that players like Bertrand Berry at times were forced to openly and publicly question teammates' commitment. It was the simple fact that when you watched them play, you often saw a team that looked like it wasn't trying late in ballgames. Or worse, yet, that was in the midst of chaos. Even though they have yet to take a snap -- not even in a preseason game -- you get the sense that that won't be the case with this group this year."
Damn...I was hoping to catch you on that first post. That's a pretty dead on assessment. What about the Seahawks? Damn you nailed that one too. You're good Curt....but I can find a flaw.

A ha! That writing style!!! You write in very short paragrahs. So it looks like a thousand of them are on the page.

You write like.....well, me. Crap.

I take it back....I'll probably read Curt's Blog as well.

That Jay Mohr is BAD. I mean...wow. If that was some random blogger I'd be embarassed for the guy. But because it's someone actually getting paid by a mainstream company it's frustrating. Really, does anyone including FOX brass think this is good?

Am I the only one that thinks Nikki Cox is overrated?

Worst looking set of fake tittays I've ever seen.

You know, Joe Morgan had the first blog back in 1963.

Yep, he was the first.

Did I mention he was the first?

Joe Morgan.

Now that anonymous mentions it, remember those Mr. Perfect WWF videos back in the day when he'd throw a football 100 yards and catch it, or shoot full court jumpers, or pitch perfect fastballs he'd then meet at the plate and crush? Those were based on actual events in Joe Morgan's life.

Remember that guy with the sunglasses who could play harmonica, the drums, the piano, sing like an angel, had hit records?

That wasn't Stevie Wonder, that was Joe Morgan.

The Bill Brasky stories from Saturday Night Live? Those are actual tales from Joe Morgan's life. NBC just couldn't meet Joe's monetary demands to use his name.

Remember that guy, Jesus? Joe Morgan's butler.

Joe Morgan hit a home run off of God back in 1964.
