I was about to get angry when I saw that Fox is bringing its #1 crew to force-feed us more of the New York Giants Media Circus.

But I don't really see any other games on the Fox schedule that excite me. Talk about a "phone it in" week for them.

As a Saints fan, I'm glad to see that that the Saints and Sam Rosen are FINALLY reunited, now that America has jumped off the New Orleans Bandwagon.

Nantz/Simms at KC/CHI are you kidding me that is the "National" CBS 2nd game of the doubleheader, shouldn't they move Indy @ Tennessee to the late start?

I see Bill Macatee is replacing Don Criqui as Steve Beuerlein's partner, which is good... Criqui's Boston accent was driving me nuts throughout the entire Jacksonville-Tennessee game. It was so bad, Beuerlein's voice started to imitate it (and Beuerlein's from California).

I checked Criqui's Wikipedia page after the game, it's says he's from Buffalo. How the hell does a Buffalo guy get a thick Masshole accent like that?

I know I should take em one game at a time, but it's really hard not to look ahead to that Week 3 Cleveland@Oakland matchup.

Grimey --

Criqui has been doing Patriots preseason games for a number of seasons now, so I'm sure he spends a lot of time in the Boston area.

Dan Dierdorf. Thsuper thsweet!!!!

OK, why does the Buck-Aikman combination ALWAYS do NFC East?

Don't you know? The NFC is the most important division in football!

It's so damn condescending. The Giants are a trainwreck. And I'm supposed to care, ONLY because it's happening in New York.

The Cardinals are a trainwreck every year. You don't see Buck/Aikman covering their games, or a weekly "cover story" from every media outlet, detailing "what's wrong with the Cardinals." So why should I care because it's the Giants? Because there is a law that says that New York has to have the best teams in EVERY sport?

This New York hand-wringing is getting out of hand. It's getting almost as annoyng as the weekly "what's wrong with the Knicks" stories we're gonna get FOR THE FOURTH YEAR IN A ROW during basketball season.

There. I feel better.
