Dave Lapham Makes Up A New Football Term, Face Raping
Saturday, October 13, 2007
Dave Lapham is obviously a passionate guy. Why he's so passionate about this penalty being called is beyond me....
"He got poked in the eye as well, THEY FACE RAPED HIM!"- Dave Lapham

there's a difference between raping (which is a crime) and rapping (which is a music style that normally has lyrics about crime)
you're headline and script don't match
The gerund form of "rape" is "raping".
Note the single P.
...learn English damnit.
and theres no flag
To Anonymous: There's a difference between your (indicating possession) and you're (short for you are). What's that they say about people in glass houses?
he who lives in glass house, own lot of windex or is it he who lives in glass house poop in basement
you're headline and script don't match
Ha...thanks for the editing.
Also, maybe he was trying to say rake, but that sounds like rape to me.
To those of us lucky enough to hear Lapham call Bengals games on the radio each Sunday, he's a wonder to behold.
"Oooh", "Aaah", "Look at that, oh!", Uhhhh Oh!"
Just some of Dave's great, descriptive play calls. He's what could be called an ear raper.
To me it sounds like he said raped. If he said racked, then the "ck" sounds a little funny.
Of course rake isn't spelled with a c, but it still holds true.
Ha....none of us can spell today.
I cant spell anyday so what makes today any different?
I saw this live pretty funny. Keep up the good work here. Do you want to exchange links? http://thewestcoastbiasblog.blogspot.com/
He definitely said "face raked".
Good try, though.
I don't know how you can assume he said "Raked". Even if he did he should have known it sounded like Rape.
All you haters out there need to calm the fuck down and create your own blog, something like www.discrediteveryonewhoiscreativeandfunny.com
Good luck
It's pretty damn clear he says "face raped" on the live broadcast with the much higher quality audio. In fact he says it AGAIN in another 30 seconds and again it's clear he's saying rape.
I'll give Dave Lapham the benefit of having his shit together and saying the right thing any day. If you watch the infamous replays of the Missouri-Colorado "5th down" game, Lapham is the analyst who first suggests that the down is wrong (when 2nd down was repeated) - while play-by-play guy Drew Goodman is the douche who just plays along with what the refs were showing.
Yeah, I initially thought he said that too. I was watching that game. Definitely said "face raking"
