Video: Billy Crystal's At-Bat For The Yankees

Thursday, March 13, 2008

I must say that I was pretty darn impressed with Mr. Saturday Night's lead off at-bat for the Yankees this afternoon. He fouled off a nice pitch and worked the count to 3-1 before getting two nasty cut fastballs from the Pirates' Paul Maholm.

Here's the video if you don't mind crappy audio and picture quality (I'll replace later)....

Very Corey Patterson-like. Get the count to 3-1 and swing for the fences as a lead off hitter. Prepare for ESPN to cut into the Marquette-Notre Dame game about 20 times to show you this.

Damn, you really love to bitch about ESPN's coverage of the Yankees, don't you? Still pissed about Jeffrey Maier?

Thanks for putting that up so quick, I was dying to see what happened. I say he did a lot better than most 59 year old dudes.

Erin Andrews really came out on top of her game for championship week. She looks CLASSY! And HOT!

Yeah, he actually looked pretty decent out there. Facing MLB pitching (even Grapefruit League) is darn hard to do. Add to it that B. Crystal is old as hell.

Well, he may have looked pretty good on the first few pitches. But remember... I can almost guarantee that that guy was not pitching to anywhere near his full capacity. Looked like he was trying to throw him meatballs for the first few and then thought... dude this may be the stupidest thing the Yankees have ever done. I'm striking him out to get it over with.

Ouch you have to throw that Corey Patterson reference in there just to kick us Cubs fans in the nuts, don't you?
