Okay This Kid Is Officially A Warlock

Blake Hoffarber won an ESPY back in the day for winning a Minnesota High School Championship while lying on his back. Well late last night Hoffarber pulled off a ridiculous Christian Laettner-like shot to knock Indiana out of the Big 10 Tournament.....

Amazing. I'm still looking for the Minnesota feed because there could have been a "BING-GO!" type reaction, but that was awesome. Also, the Big Ten refs are just about the worst collection of officials I've ever seen. They've been horrendous this Tournament.

To have one miracle shot much less two in a lifetime is almost unheard of.

They're just trying to help pave the way for Illinois to win the Big 10 tourney and be a 15 seed in the NCAAs.

Incredible shot, and great lob pass too. Although I'm surprised DJ White didn't somehow get fouled in those 1.5 seconds.

They just announced on CBS that the SEC Championship will be moved to 3:30 pm on ESPN2 Sunday. Lord knows they couldn't move the epic Big 10 Championship matchup of Wisconsin-Minnesota off CBS.

They're no worse than the assclowns in the ACC. How guys like Duke Edsel have been able to keep their jobs is beyond me.

They played the WCCO radio feed (from Minneapolis) on ESPN on SportsCenter last night ... it wasn't ridiculously over-the-top. Can't find that particular clip on ESPN.com, though.

The Big Ten refs this year have just been bizarre. For three games in a row now for MSU, they've called pretty much no fouls in the first half and then gone whistle-crazy in the second. And there's no way in hell White was fouled on the tip-in there, unless it occurred so early that NBA refs wouldn't have given him the continuation.

The A-10 officials have been terrible all season as well as in the tournament

And another terrible job in the first game today.

Yet another sparkling performance by the Big-10 crew in the Ill-Minn game. Minn inbounds the ball, takes a bad shot, Hoffarber fouls Brock on the rebound, no foul is called, but he goes to the floor. No traveling is called. Referee timeout. After 3 minutes, they run an extra 3.2 second off the clock, because apparently the clock didn't restart on the inbounds play, and give the ball to Illinois. They are horrible. They didn't really cost Minnesota the game, but they completely butchered what might've been a very exciting end to a good game.

Never call your shot on officials, spartandan. You get exactly what you expect.

Stupid Big Ten Network. We could have had this game on ESPN with Musburger and Lavin.

The worst refs in both football and basketball are in the Pac-10.

Amen on the Pac-10 refs being the worst. Just ask Oklahoma football. Or Stanford last week. Or Cal last week. Or Arizona State last week...

As an ACC fan, I can guarantee you that ACC refs are absolutely the worst.

I have a feeling we could go on like this all day....

Anon at 8:38: Yeah, be careful what you wish for, huh?

Memo to Hightower: contact is not automatically a foul. I'll give him credit for calling it ludicrously tight on both ends, but holy f**king hell, that was insane. He's been prominently involved in two of our losses (the other being the Iowa debacle which set back the cause of basketball by seven decades).
