MNF Links:
Before we get to the links there are a couple of MNF items of note. First is one I mentioned the last week, and that's the item of the pregame and game itself featuring a new Kenny Chesney song called, "I'm Alive." Also, injured Giants DE, Osi Umenyiora will be sitting in with the Countdown crew tonight. Onto the links....

Monday Night Countdown Segments:
ESPN the Magazine's “For Love or The Game:” Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin
To find out who knows the coach better, the series quizzed Coughlin’s daughter, Kate, and her husband, Chris Snee, a Giants starting guard.

Countdown’s Cris Carter takes viewers on the field to show how Eli Manning has become one of the best play-action passers in the NFL.
Weekly Monday Night Countdown Segments: Field Pass, Quarterback Conundrum (Steve Young and Trent Dilfer offer their views on topical issues), Teams at 20
AA's Prediction:
Pretty sure we're going to get a blowout in this one, but with the way the NFC East teams looked this week, anything is possible. The Browns just don't have it this year and I don't see them challenging that Giant D at all....

Was Javon Walker(?) the "5 Hour Energy Designated Driver" in that picture?
I disagree, in part AA. I think the Giants will win, but I think that this is going to be one of Those MNF games (i.e. Bears and Cards - "They are who we thought they were", Cowboys-Bills, and Ravens-Pats) where the underdog home team is close and leads throughout the game, but they can't quite pull it off in the end.
27-26 Giants in a wild one.
"Countdown’s Cris Carter takes viewers on the field to show how Eli Manning has become one of the best play-action passers in the NFL."
What if they put 2 virtual lines of blow on the field and Key and Cris do a race?
Quasi-related: John Madden will not work Seahawks-Bucs next Sunday night (AP via NBC Sports). Cris Collinsworth fills in.
If what anon at 6:35 is right, then all I can say is "Do you believe in miracles? YES!". At least the analysis will be good that game. Sadly, that is the only thing that will be good that game...
Thanks to the Romo injury, the good news is that the crew will have something to talk about during what's sure to be an awful game. The bad news is, Tony Kornheiser is part of the crew talking about it.
While Dilfer is not eloquent - much better than Emmitt to be sure - his analysis is pretty good. Hopefully, he won't go all "Sean Salisbury" on us.
MNF over NLCS game 3? I'm not a fan of any of the teams here... So, dunno... I'd go with the baseball, though...
Got the score almost exactly right (except it was backwards!)
So we have to hear about every little detail of this MNF game, and the most exciting NLCS game in recent memory gets a couple of lines? I understand the NFL rules the universe, but c'mon. There was so much to mock Buck and McCarver about, and you missed it!
I really don't want to see what a girl with half of Tom Coughlin's DNA looks like.
