Lee Corso Does Not Understand The Term "Off The Radar"

Wednesday, July 25, 2007

So College Football Live is off to a roaring start, and my complaints are already piling up. Not really on the show, but more on the "talent". In this clip Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, and Mark May are asked who their "Off The Radar" Players and Teams are. Kirk and Marky Mark give us relatively good sleepers, but Lee Corso just assumes because a team plays late at night (when he's dreaming of pencils) that no one has ever heard of someone...

Hmmm....let's just Google News Mr. Brennan and see what comes up.

(Results 1 - 10 of about 198 from Jul 18, 2007 to today for colt brennan)

That's just the past week. The guy was a 2nd Team All-American and was a finalist for the Davey O'Brien award. He was USA Today's player of the Week in early November, and holds 19 NCAA records.

Yep, that's under the radar. I'll be happy when Corso just goes back to putting on Mascot heads.

I may have mentioned this before, but it is the only story I have.

I was one of the billion people on campus during last year's OSU-UM game. Walking around the stadium happened to run into Corso, surrounded by bodyguards making his way to the game through a crowd of people. The guy looks like a huge doll, first of all, no way his face isn't plastic. But through the crowd, someone screams, "How's the baby arm Corso!"

I thought of that, seeing the sign in the back.

Corso's comments always remind me of Kevin Pollack's impression of Christopher Walken:
"Frankenstein never scared me...
Marsupials do; because they're fast, and they dart.."

Someone really should've briefed the old man before they went on air.

How the hell is a kid who threw 58 touchdowns off the radar!!!??

He IS the radar!

Ray Rice is off the radar too because he places in New Jersey.

Leave Corso alone, it's hard work being in the dog eat dog world of pencil sales.
