Gus Johnson Was Born To Announce 15-14 Games In Buffalo
Wednesday, September 12, 2007
Hopefully I can put this together each week so we can keep up with our pal Gus Johnson as he's shipped from Buffalo to Cleveland to Houston and then back to Buffalo. You can bury Gujo so we won't get to see him do a feature game this year, but we shall enjoy his work!!!!!!!
"PILE DRIVVVVVVER! TOUCHDOWN BUFFALO!!!!!!!!!!! Holy Mackrel!"
P.S.- Sorry for the quality, but you really only need the audio right?

The Gus Hater is here. But I will give him props for not having a stroke while they were trying to get Elam on the field
So, AA, has his next game been announced yet? I haven't seen or checked, but my money's on Cincinnati/Cleveland
Negative....Houston at Carolina....
That post will be up at the end of the day.
He'll be at Cincy/Seattle in week 3, which I reckon is a pretty big game.
They've already decided that? Wow. He gets a good game between two probably undefeated teams.
Let me guess. Nantz and Simms are covering the (YAWN) Dolphins/Jets game that week
They've got through Week #3 ready....
Nantz and Simms are on SD-GB
Gumbel and Dierdorf are on MIA-NYJ
YES!! Love it!
Seriously, can we just close GuJo already?
Gumbel and Dierdorf get Miami again. What did they do to deserve that punishment?
"Walker with the caaatch..."
Hmm, that sounds familiar.
GuJo is sweet, the most entertaining announcer in sports. You would have thought he would have gone a little more crazy at the end there though.
You don't hear nearly enough "Holy Mackerals" in the booth these days.
I was in a bit of a mood, feeling pretty damn cranky about everything in general. Then I listened to 60 seconds of Gus Johnson. Damn it, I couldn't help but smile!
Who needs drugs or drinking to feel a little better about life when you just need some Gus Johnson...
"Holy Marckrel," indeed.
GMoney, you are obviously not a fan of any of the AFC North teams. I'm a Bengals fan and I loath every time I hear Johnson is calling the game (which is about 50% of the time). The plays he was calling in this clip were actually exciting, but he also sounds like this on routine plays. It gets old pretty quick.
AWESOME!!!
