Sage Steele Thinks That Super Bowls Are Played On Mondays
Thursday, January 24, 2008
You just knew that ESPN was going to jump on this newspaper war between Boston and New York. Sage Steele had the Herald's on First Take to address the battle (and later Mike Vaccaro), but it wasn't anything about the feud that caught my attention....
Umm, Sage....the whole world knows the date of the Super Bowl. The 4th is a Monday. A small misstep, but humorous if you think about Sage showing up in Arizona on February 4th and the grounds crew putting her to work sweeping the stadium.

This wouldn't be a problem if more Americans had calendars.

Of course, that slip-up gives me an even more humorous image of Sage showing up 20 days ago.
Thanks for reading and editing Anon....I love you.
The Super Bowl is played on Monday,
Sincerely,

Nice to know that Jim Rome emailers are posting on the site.
I didn't see the whole segment, so I may not fully understand the context from which this was taken, but didn't you say this was about newspapers in Boston and New York? And won't those newspapers be writing about the game on February 4?
Again, no context, but maybe that's why it will be "interesting to see what happens on February 4" - to see the way the newspapers in each city react to the final result.
Damn you could be right....oh well.....let's pretend this post never happened.
Leave Sage alone, every makes mistakes. Look at Dana Jacobsen.
Way to show off that IU education.

I just saw the pics of Dana Jacobsen chugging Belvedere on The Big Lead. DON'T look at Dana Jacobsen.
Of course, Sage said February 4th, not January 4th, as your blog item reads--making your criticism of her ring rather hollow. She's only a day off, you're a month off.
