remember after 9/11 when people began rethinking what a "hero" was, and the whimsical use of the word was pretty much stricken from the nation's parlance? and here we are 6 years later and the winner of the most glutonous contest imaginable has made the grade.
god bless america, i guess.
anonymous, get over yourself.
USA! USA!
I really want to say "Yeah go Joey" but something about him just makes me want to punch him in the face. I'm not sure what it is though.
So that means that Joey Chestnut is "now"? I declare shenanigans on ESPN's Who's Now? competition then.
WAIT A SECOND ANONYMOUS #3...
YOU RIGHT!
hes is NOW he beats EVERYONE Joey Chestnut IS now!
While I agree that a Yankee defeating a Jap deserves all the attention it can muster...I must say that our amateur hockey players beating the cream-of-the crop professional Ruskies in hokcey was the pinncacle of the Cold War.
Once again, this proves the point that Americans can defeat the Ruskies, English, French, Mexicans, North Koreans, Spain, Italy, Germans, Nicaruagans, and any other nation/state that is foolish enough to test the will of the Land of the Free.
God Bless America
