Random Stephen A. Smith Gossip Is Fun
Thursday, January 03, 2008
I love this little piece of gossip from The Philly Daily News this morning....
ESPN's Stephen A. Smith picked up some furniture at Raymour & Flanigan (2100 Route 38) in Cherry Hill earlier today and referred to himself in the third person while shopping, says a nearby customer. "Stephen would like the sofa that Stephen was just sitting in," our source quotes Smith, who's been off from the Inqwaster since his column was stripped in August. Smith, accompanied by "an attractive young female" was gracious to fans who approached, says our spy.EVERY COUCH I BUY IS IMPORTANT! I NEED A DUSTBUSTER AS WELL TO VACUUM UP THESE CHEESY DOODLE CRUMBS!!!

He needs a couch to watch SLOVADON MEDENKO
Didn't know Stephen A. is a West Virginia fan. He must have burned his Wednesday night.
Dear God, he needs knocked down a peg or ten.
At the end of the day, the thing about it is, I got a couch. That is the bottom line.
This story is complete bogus. No way Stephen A. has "fans."
QUITE FRANKLY, this makes Stephen's day!
MMMMMMMMMMMMM.... Cheesy Doodles... glaaaaaaaallglalgla (Drools)
I used to intern at 1050 espn radio in NY and Stephen A. was surprisingly very nice and soft spoken when off air. He was also very generous anytime we did a live event with him he would always take us out to lunch afterwards. I don't agree with most of his rants on air but that is his draw people will listen to him whether they agree/disagree however I'll remain a Stephen A Smith fan because he truly is nice guy. Also I'm not surprised he was with an attractive young female because he had a good track record there too during my time with the station.
In Philly, Stephen's columns in the Inky were written decently but he had this annoying habit of using exclamation marks (!) throughout his articles (!) and his editor (!) seemed to always leave them in (!). Just like he talks (!).
sportsattitude:
Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode.
"It was damp and chilly afternoon, so I decided to put on my sweatshirt!"
"I pulled the lever on the machine, but the Clark bar didn't come out!" Exclamation point?
Stephen needs a couch, but not that kind of couch. Dude has some serious issues to work out.
