Dan And Keith Give An Early Look At The New "F'n IA"

Friday, August 08, 2008

I'm still trying to figure out what NBC is trying to do with their Football coverage on Sunday nights but in the meantime, MSNBC decided to give us a glimpse at what the new "Big Show" would look like come September....

I know NBC is banking on this combo, but I'm still wary about the decision. Don't get me wrong, I loved "The Big Show" but for some reason I just don't think it will have the same impact with about ten other people trying to fight for airtime. Again, folks.....less is always, and I mean ALWAYS more (see: MNF's Halftime Show).

(MNF review to follow)

be careful AA or DP will come in here and lay the smack down.

DP - if you do come in here, don't post as 'anonymous'...loved the emmy in the background.

WWE's The Big Show > NBC's The Big Show

Completely concur about less being more. The two of them do have chemistry together though...no doubt about it. However, the show is going to turn into the "The View" on steroids with Costas, King, Collinsworth, Tiki, and The Bus also fighting for their moment in the spotlight.

*Disclaimer* - I only watch "The View" and "Oprah" when spending some quality time with my wife. Otherwise I'm watching sports or reading Awful Announcing

AA - please get a chance to check out Emmitt Smith on the Cold Hard Facts segment of SC this morning. You will be glad you did and so will the readers...

I love how Keith makes a comment about Favre "seeing the blue sky alot".

Uh, Keith the Jets didn't pay $60M to Faneca, Pace and Woody in the offseason to have their QB got sacked alot.

First of all, you really don't know what their plans are.

Secondly, NBC already said they'd be doing halftime highlights which means they wont' be interacting wtih a bazillion other people--just Costas.
