Chris Russo's Teary Phone Call To Francesa Today

Friday, August 15, 2008

This is just depressing now. Mad Dog called into the "Francesa Show" (I guess that's what it's called now) and pretty much lost it as he talked to his former co-host...

Hahahaha. The Beatles? I just love them. Whether you liked them or not though, it is definitely the end of an era for New York Sports and Sports Radio. It's a shame they couldn't keep it going.

(P.S.- I fully expect to see Mad Dog on ESPN within the year. Just preparing you now.)

the Newsday story yesterday said there was a rift between them.

As someone who worked in radio for 23 years in alot of instances you as an air personality dont get to say goodbye to your listeners, your co-workers etc. By doing this Russo got to say goodbye.

in getting out of his contract, Russo is not allowed to go to ESPN, or at least appear on 1050, which would limit him on the whole network...he'll go to Sirius, where former CBS head Mel Karmazin has a history with him. Newsday or the Daily News reporter a 5 year, 15 million deal is wating for him there.

Two no-talent schooks who are completely self-absorbed. Only an ignoramus would shed tears for these doofuses. Boo hoo hoo......

I heard that morning and the night before people actually calling them the Beatles, Martin & Lewis, The Odd Couple, and the like so even as arrogant as Francesa is he is speaking truth to what really did happen.

Also Mad Dog would never go to ESPN. He's spends a good deal ripping the network and people at 1050 ESPN Radio routinely make fun of him. He's going to Sirius making twice as much and honestly if there was one terrestrial station he would want to go to it is KNBR in San Francisco.
