Boy This Sure Is Heavy (SNAP!)
Wednesday, August 13, 2008
You asked for it, you get it. I warn you ahead of time that by the third replay you'll want to walk away from the computer. The video you're about to see is of Hungarian weightlifter Janos Baranyai. Baranyai's arm doesn't seem to enjoy the massive weight above his head and decides to tell its owner by "going the other way".
Again....not for the faint of heart....
Right Arm....BROKEN! Yep that's what those in the business call a dislocation and what I call both disgusting and somewhat awesome. I'm not sure where Fan IQ got that clip, but there has to be some automatic replay feature built in. There's no way someone is that sadistic to show it snap another three times after it happened.

Wow...you can find the replay of the event on NBColympics.com...it's certainly very gut-wrenching, but apparently, only an elbow dislocation, not a break.
What's more, watching the official 'Beijing 2008 gruesome-injury-blocking placard holders' go about their business sans emotion was very strange.
It's the result of...BAD BABYSITTING!

Anonymous, do you think he would've done better if he'd have taken some sort of fish paralyzer?
Having broken the shit out of my elbow, my sympathies are with this guy.
Although, when I busted mine, I didn't scream like a cat in a clothesdryer. It was sick looking.
That was Joe Theisman and my reaction to the hobble scene in Misery sort of cringe-worthy. Jeebus!
Just walk it off....
just rub some dirt on it youll be fine
but what was with the chineese people holding up the signs to block the camera? i know that china wants to keep everything a secret but whats the secret remedy for dislocated shoulders that they dont want us to know?
Did the Chinese euthanize the guy? Those signs are like the curtain they put up around a horse at the track. Leave it to the Chinese..
I hear weightlifter makes good burgers.
I bet he is day to day.
Yeah, good thing he's a weightlifter and not a racehorse.
This reminds me of the old SNL sketch where the weight lifter has his arms riped out and blood is spraying all over the place. The video is now unavailable now.
