Your Full Week One College Football Announcing Schedule
Tuesday, August 26, 2008
Two Days? Really??? Just two days until College Football starts?! That's the best news I've heard all Summer long, even if that means that Summer is almost over. I'm still hammering out some of the details regarding the "Chronicles" for this season (post should be coming tomorrow or Thursday), but I'll once again be filling your Saturdays with beautiful and quotes every weekend from here until the BCS Championship Game. It's going to be a blast once again and I encourage you to participate as well, if not better, than last year.
With that said, I gave you a look at ESPN's announcing schedule last week, but I've finally gathered up all of the teams for every single game (Thanks for the help, Mookie). Here is your full Week One announcing schedule and I hope you're just as happy as I am that College Football is just around the corner!

the tv outlet for the georgia and auburn games is CSS PPV not CCS
good to see ron franklin getting 2 games opening week, espn really ought to use him more than they do.
Jon,
I couldn't agree more. Ron Franklin is HANDS DOWN ESPN's best play-by-play guy for college football. He needs to be reinstated to his rightful throne, calling the ESPN primetime Saturday night game which usually featured an SEC or ACC matchup. Anything less is a slap to the face of the best in the business.
Jon & Snoop, I concur. Ron Franklin epitomizes PROFESSIONALISM. A trait sadly rare in today's announcers.
I get a kick out of him doing Big 12 basketball telecasts. He really is the best.
No arguements here about Ron Franklin. It is interesting they have two sideline reporters for the Bama-clemson game. Is that neccessary? Also, you think Erin is upset she'll have to fight for camra time with Lisa Salters.

I noticed Joe Tessitore is getting more things to cover.
Is Blackledge going to do his taste of the town again? If so, aa, you should try to include that video. That was always one of the highlights of the game (aside from Mike Patrick's inane question about Brittney seconds bf the end of an exciting SEC overtime game.)
can anyone find a TV distribution map for ABC's Saturday night games (Bama-Clemson & Mich. St-Cal)?
thanks
And also the map for 3:30 games (usc-virginia, michigan-utah)
I noticed Joe Tessitore is getting more things to cover.
Is that a good thing?
I agree with all of the Ron Franklin support (he can't be on the lower rung games because of one 'sweetheart' blast), but the crew he's on doing two games in one weekend probably has more to do with proximity than anything (Palo Alto Thursday, Berkeley Saturday).
who's renee nadeau? guy or girl?
i think mike gottfried needs to take a year off.
he's still struggling in the studio to recover from the stroke.
we love you mike, but get well.
how about the florida-hawaii game ----- THREE dave's? weird
The big question is will the Pammys be back?
AA - two questions: (1) Will there be an open thread for any of these? (2) Do you know what Erin Andrews will be wearing during the SC or Clemson game?
Did any notice how Bonnie Berestein was replaced on the Brad Nessler team?
Also Erin Andrews got a big promotion to the lead team?!
Oh, I see they're doing the dual-reporter thing for the ABC game now with Lisa Salters and Erin Andrews.
Salters does as good job reporting, but I haven't been able to get over that E:60 gaffe she made.
oooh i bet the cu and csu fans are so glad to have the announcing whore joel myers doing their game.
yes. this is the best time of year. I cry laughing at the best of quotes every weekend. The pammy's have to be back.
and which ahmad brooks is that on the Texas game on FSN, please tell me it's the jailbird delinquent from UVA a few years back.
I believe Kentucky vs. Louisville is on ESPN, not ESPN2.
Did Ron Franklin kill an ESPN intern or something?
yes, yes, yes, yes, yes
