NBC Brings Back John Tesh's Classic Intro For The Olympics
Monday, August 11, 2008
A ton of you commented on how awesome it was for NBC to bring back the old NBA on NBC theme for the Olympics and I couldn't agree more. Here is the intro to the game and you can hear the Tesh theme rocking in the background....
Man that took me back. The only thing missing were those cheesy graphics slowly morphing together on screen. Bravo NBC, now just get Tesh to play it live.

I didn't get to see it live, so thanks for putting up this clip.
It definitely gave me a few goosebumps and made me yearn for the good old days of the NBA on NBC.
Hopefully after ABC's contract ends in 2016, NBC will get the NBA back.
The man takes a lot of shit for sucking, but Tesh will always be loved by me just for that music alone.
Roundball ruckus is the best theme besides the NFL on CBS theme from 1992-2003
Oh no! Someone removed it for "a breach of the Terms of Use." Brian, please contact your lawyers right now!
While I like John Tesh's theme, nbc olympics theme sucks. ABC's was much better more dramatic!
Don't make the call, Brian. In fact, I wouldn't post any more Olympic clips, as disappointing as it is. It looks like NBC is going through all of them and asking the video services to get rid of them.
I guess it's time to tell your readers to go to NBCOlympics.com to see anything.:(
Yep Desmond....that appears to be the case. I'll see what else I can figure out, but they are all over vids.
GO WORLD, not the USA, but GO WORLD according to our wonderful US corporations...
NBC went WAY overboard with covering Chinese athletes.
Glad they brought it back. This is my favorite sports theme of all time followed by the NHL on ESPN theme, and of course MNF.
Hey, thanks for finding the back door! I always loved that music.
Couldn't agree more. True that Tesh gets a lot of flack but that intro kicks a$$. Definitely takes me back to the good old days...can't wait for NBC to have the NBA back on their networks.
USA! USA! USA!
Another royalty check for John Tesh!
