The MNF Booth Sure Knows How To Jinx A Kicker
Tuesday, November 18, 2008
As a proud alum of (THE) James Madison University, it always made me chuckle that one of the three Football jerseys that are retired by the school is of one, Scott Norwood (Gary Clark, Charles Haley). I have never been on the losing side of any Championship game, for any of my teams, so I can't even imagine how Bills fans felt in the 90s.
Fast forward to tonight and another MNF game for the Bills that came down to a FG. Last year Nick Folk who provided the dagger after an onside kick, this year it was Tirico, Jaws and Kornheiser that slid the weapon in before Rian Lindell's game winning attempt....
Good lord. Normally you get one mention, perhaps two, but they did everything short of yelling "NOONAN!" at Lindell. Sorry I had to post that Bills' fans, but the look on Jim Kelly's face was just too much to pass on.

As a Stars fan who grew tired of all the 'No Goal' whining from Western New York in 1999, I take great schadenfreude in any failure involving any Buffalo team.
Well done, Rian!
P.S. The goal still counts
Jauron should be fired this morning after that shit. Who settles on an almost 50 yard FG when you didn't have to???
Trent Edwards is beyond horrible.
So is this the "Jim Kelly face"
I just pray Vincent Gallo doesn't get inspired again.
F___ you, gravypan.
So you're an alum of Just Missed UVA? Nice. Anyways, Kelly's look was pretty classic, though
@GMoney- I think you answered your own question..
@bigern- my brother-in-law is a JMU grad, and he turned out pretty well. Also, I live about 90 miles south of Harrisonburg, so I get a bit defensive when it comes to our state schools(except VA Tech), so I have but one thing to say to you, sir;
Shut up you Stinky McStinkface!
The Bills should never play a game again where the sum of the month and the date equal 28. It's unlucky.
Super Bowl XXV: 1/27/91. 1+27=28.
Last night's game: 11/17/08. 11+17=28.
The result both games: 47-yards. No good. Wide right.
@gravypan
His skate was in the crease. Period.
Dick Jauroon did a poor job of coaching and no comment.
Got kickoff at 43-yard line...then a 15-20 yard completion.
Then he ran 3 straight plays basically behind center.
Guess he thought a 48-yard FG was as easy as a 30-yarder OR Jauroon was afraid of scoring a touchdown.
