Ryan Howard Can't Field Baseballs, But He Can Sure Snag Flying Beer Cans

Wednesday, November 05, 2008

There are a handful of World Series vids floating around these interwebs, but none more awesome than this one that I found over at HR Derby. A fan was filming the parade when a random beer can comes flying at one of the floats carrying a handful of Phillies and more specifically, Ryan Howard. Watch closely as the first baseman backhands the thing at the last second....

Wow! That's talent right there. He couldn't seem to field simple ground balls in the Playoffs this year, but his hand are like glue for Budweiser cans. Hey, everyone has their priorities.

Imagine if Howard had broken his hand there? It would be like the baseball Gods, being like,"You have had your moment, back to futility!"

Needless to say, Ryan Howard is living the high life.

The important thing, though, is to remind the kids that you should always field your beers with two hands.
