Something doesn't compute. ABCDiSPN doesn't own Comedy Central

And I thought no one could top Taryne Mowatt's intros.

Actually, South Park is a real town in Colorado.

That was by far the best intros of the year.

Re: twoeightnine

Comedy Central doesn't really "own" South Park, either. I'm pretty sure Parker and Stone own and run it independently. It's not even a WGA show; that's why new episodes still came out during the strike.

I'm no stickler but why does Cartman sound like Stan?

Nov 23, 2007, 6:33:00 PM

at the bottom of the south park studios webpage it says comedy partners llc, which is the subsidiary of mtv that owns comedy central, so im pretty sure they do control the show. however i doubt CC would complain about getting free advertising on another network

did anyone catch the 'I WAS RIGHT! I WAS RIGHT!' after arkansas called that timeout before lsu scored? what the fuck was that?

Yes I know that that South Park is in Colorado and Stone is an alum of Colorado, Parker didn't graduate. South Park Studios is a division of Comedy Partners LLC who owns Comedy Central and is a wholly owned division of MTV Networks, themselves a division of Viacom.

In other words they are not part of The Disney Company and actually a competitor. If you've been reading AA or following ABCDiSPN's handling of sports this year, ie. Monday Night Football guests, tie-ins on Sports Center, they tend to lean towards Disnergy*.

I was just pleasantly surprised by this.

Who did they have do the Nebraska lineups? Whoever it was must have been such a letdown compared to Cartman.

Donald Trump announced Texas Tech the week before, so I don't think ABC minds if folks from competitor networks announce the teams.

If football had announcers like Cartman - I would watch more often...not just when the Pats are in teh superbowl (which is semi-all the time now) :)

...Actually for all you smart asses, Southpark is a real town. Though the name is not Southpark, it's based off a little town just to the west of Breckenridge/Frisco area near the continental divide. The people who live there put up decoration to celebrate the show.. it's kinda funny

ACTUALLY, South Park is not a real town. It is really just a small part of a town called Fairplay.

Trey and Matt are the bravest men in entertainment. While everyone attacks the right - an easy target. Trey and Matt dare to also attack the Left - an even easier target, with even less sense of humor when mocked. They make their money in entertainment and still have the courage to blast actors and the industry mercilessly. I'm older than both those guys and their still heroes I look up to.

As stated above, South Park does exist. The main street actually looks fairly similar to that of the cartoon. I believe it was originally based on the town of Conifer, but as Parker and Stone said, who wants to watch a show called "Conifer".

Imitrex works fast, not a pain killer... so there are no groggy side effects. Used for several years without any problems.

Eric Cartman one of my favorite actor.i watch south park every season and episodes Well, from now onwards, we will be talking about South Park characters every weekend. And, this weekend is devoted to Eric Cartman, the character which is described as a little Archie Bunker by the series creators, Parker and Stone. Eric is shockingly profane and his tendency to be politically incorrect has been the center of controversies since the premiere of South Park.
