AA's Prediction:

I'm with just about everyone else in thinking that the Chargers are going to come out gunning during this game. I think that their defense will finally settle in and Brett Favre is going to have a long night and in turn making Tony Kornheiser cry.

Chargers 24 - Jets 13

But again....this is Brett Favre and he does own on Monday nights. Feel free to leave your predictions in the comments and I'll see you around 8pm or so for the live-blog.

11 Comments:

I don't see any way the Chargers lose this game. Favre can talk about must-win situations all he wants, but he's gonna be dealing with a pissed-off San Diego team that'll be playing at home. Chargers by double digits.

Making tony kornheiser cry. <--- awesome.

It made think of the commercial on ESPN during the Ryder Cup friday with the cute little girl who thrashed the old guy at golf. I can picture Favre having a crappy day and seeing Tony K freaking out and throwing golf clubs.

That and Rivers needs to score me 35 points for my fantasy team this week.

San Diego 21, NY Jets 20

The Chargers get a last minute game-winning score themselves and subsequently they leave Tony Kornheiser in tears.

Brent has to say to himseff, "Hey, I got to go out there and have fun, like I do, did, before at Green Bay, when he was at Green Bay."

I would pick the Jets if Favre's dad died again. Too soon?

ESPN please keep Kornheiser out of the MNF booth forever. He adds nothing to the game and has no business being there. I know more about football than him. Fire Jim Rome while you're at it. thks.

I bet Tony brings up the father dying thing.

Hell, Tony has a hundred touching moments that he'll intersperse throughout the game, so that we will know the depth of his feeling and emotion for Brent Farve and maybe we will just have a little bit more humanity after all is said and done.

Thank you.

how interesting that the chargers have had a dick announcing all their games so far (stockton, enberg and kornheiser)

I agree. Tony Kornheiser seriously sucks at MNF. Atleast give us a third analyst that can disect the game instead. ESPN uses MNF simply to cross promote it's other shows at the expense of the game. This nonsense needs to end.

My entire football life I have always, and just making an observation, associated football with whiny liberal New York Jewish sportswriters.

I find the observations by whiny liberal Jewish sportswriters from Long Island to be some of the most emotional and caring introspective reflections, ever.

I have to thank ESPN for allowing me to have part of my childhood back, with the addition of a whiny liberal new York Jew who writes a sports column and is now on my tv set, or internet feed, as it were.
