NFL Broadcast Maps And Announcing Schedule For Week Four

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Well I'm pretty sure we didn't even need a map for the 4pm FOX Games, but I decided to post that red monster anyway. Plus St. Louis has to see what they're not getting this Sunday evening. Buck and Aikman obviously go to the Skins-Cowboys game, but CBS blows my mind by sending Nantz and Simms to Oakland. There ultimately aren't any other good games for them to choose for them though. In another interesting move, Chris Meyers replaces the MLB Playoff bound, Matt Vasgersian, and I personally couldn't think of anything worse than Meyers calling an entire game. Sorry North and South Dakota.

Here are the maps, and remember you can head to The 506 for a larger view of each....

CBS:

BLUE: Denver at Kansas City (1pm) - Greg Gumbel, Dan Dierdorf
GREEN: Houston at Jacksonville (1pm) - Dick Enberg, Randy Cross
ORANGE: Cleveland @ Cincinnati (1pm) - Kevin Harlan, Rich Gannon

RED: San Diego at Oakland (4pm) - Jim Nantz, Phil Simms
YELLOW: Buffalo at St. Louis (4pm) - Ian Eagle, Solomon Wilcots

FOX 1pm:

RED: Green Bay at Tampa Bay - Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, Tony Siragusa
BLUE: Arizona at NY Jets - Dick Stockton, Brian Baldinger, Brian Billick
GREEN: San Francisco at New Orleans - Sam Rosen, Tim Ryan
ORANGE: Atlanta at Carolina - Ron Pitts, Tony Boselli
YELLOW: Minnesota at Tennessee - Chris Myers, J.C. Pearson

FOX 4pm:

RED: Washington at Dallas - Joe Buck, Troy Aikman

Just saw that....my fault.

I am pulling my hair out at Kansas City/Denver being the feature game.

Show us 2 winless teams in the Browns/Bengals because you KNOW there won't be any defense and it will be a great game.

Thank god! I live in the Detroit area and I finally get to watch my Browns on Sunday!

By the way, what's the deal with St. Louis being the only city in the United States without a 4pm game?

@ Dan

St. Louis has a home game on CBS. so they can't watch any other game on any other network.

However, if the game fails to sell out (which is likely), then they will be switched to another game and granted Skins/Cowboys.

The same happens for the Oakland/San Francisco market should Raiders fans give up on the season but I doubt it.

That's fucking CBS for you.

Pittsburgh one week in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh the next week... And this week we get the guaranteed zero-star Bungles at Brownies.

No wonder the programmers at CBS are 100% true fucktards.

Oh man the Red Sox/Yankees will be Dick Stockton and Tim McCarver via a sports radio interview in Sacramento (from the506 boards).

So it's a double duty.

As someone that has watched every game of the Browns and Bengals this year, you aren't missing anything.

No HD for DEN/KC... not sure how CLE/CIN pulled that one...

@ gmoney

True, but I'd rather watch the Browns then no game at all or the Steelers.

THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME WE HAVE A GAME ON FOX they give us the 5 string loser team

Matt Millen has been fired as Lions president/GM.

Ding dong, the witch is dead!

Lots of bad games in that lineup.

At least it's not made worse by having Detroit included anywhere.

Stephen- Just assuming that he will be on either radio or TV somewhere. He's probably on a FOX game this weekend to end the season.

Daryl Johnston, if you see the name 'Ford, William Clay' on your Caller ID, don't answer and delete any voicemails.

Sep 24, 2008, 11:40:00 AM

Anon is right. You have week five in the title, it's week 4. As far as the schedule goes, well, it looks like the club I'm in picked a good weekend to go to DC. Not much until the Eagles are on on Sunday Night and I should be back by then.

"Daryl Johnston, if you see the name 'Ford, William Clay' on your Caller ID, don't answer and delete any voicemails."

If it gets him out of the broadcast booth, I'm all for him answering that phone call...

"Daryl Johnston, if you see the name 'Ford, William Clay [Sr.]' on your Caller ID..."

Would have been better if the name was "Troy Aikman."

I think CBS broadcasts all of their games in HD, but it will be a turkey game and my Broncos should dominate. Because of the regional games on CBS, we have no alternative, but Redskins/Cowboys in the late window. Hopefully, the Eagles and Bears play a good game, though.

CBS has a terrible slate of games this week. Thought Nantz and Simms would go to KC or STL, but CA has good weather, if nothing else.

Guessing Rick James was referencing FOX's number 2 analyst, which Matt Millen was, rather than the number one for a reason.

Good reference RJ.

Can someone explain the brown area around Birmingham in the 1:00 Fax window? Thanks.

Also, you gotta love how CBS is punishing the NFC South markets by making all four cities watch Oakland.

I live in the Bay Area and the ONLY games we get are the crappy bay area teams. We don't even get the privilege of watching the late games on Fox due to the fact that our games don't sell out. Even though this week the 9ers game is away. GO 'SKINS.
