Segements To Be Featured On Tonight's Countdown

Monday, September 15, 2008

I've already let you know that it's Hispanic Heritage Night for Monday Night Football tonight, but I also wanted to pass along a preview of what you'll be seeing on Countdown tonight. Emmitt and the gang will all be on hand starting at 7pm and I'm praying that he keeps calling Matt Cassel, Matt Hassel tonight (he did it on Sports Center for an entire segment on Sunday but I screwed up the recording).

Futbol Americano-

A look inside the events surrounding Hispanic Heritage month in association with the game. Featuring the Hispanic Music Festival, NFL Youth Festival and live coverage of the National Anthem performed by Kat DeLuna.

Unmasked: Donovan McNabb-

A look at Donovan McNabb highlights from the Eagles week one victory over the Rams.

ESPN the Magazine's “For Love of The Game:” Jon Runyan-

From ESPN The Mag, this feature asks questions of a player's wife/girlfriend and a teammate to see who can answer more correct. Featuring Runyan's wife Loretta and teammate Tra Thomas.

Soundtracks: Best of Terrell Owens-

Yet another collection of Owensisms.

EA Sports Virtual Playbook: Cowboys running game-

Tom Jackson will show how Marion Barber and the Cowboys running game is one of the best in football using the EA Playbook technology.

Jerry Jones’ Stadium Tour-

This is the last Monday nighter at Cowboys Stadium and Jerry Jones will conduct a tour of the Cowboys' new stadium next door.

Weekly Monday Night Countdown Segments: Field Pass, Quarterback Conundrum (Steve Young and Trent Dilfer offer their views on topical issues), Teams at 20

Seems like this would be a night to skip if you'd rather not hear ESPN's talking heads hype the Dallas Cowboys for an entire hour. Oh and in case you care, Michele Tafoya is on the Eagles' locker room and Suzy Kolber is on the Cowboys'.

What was the reasoning behind ditching "jacked up?"

Dammit, AA, I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the video of this week's "All-22" member!

Love Awful Announcing but a slight correction. The new stadium isn't next door. It's a good 10+ miles or more away in Arlington from the current location of Texas Stadium in Irving.

Maybe he meant next door to the Rangers' park.
