Tatum Bell's Interview On The Dan Patrick Show
Friday, September 05, 2008
Dan Patrick had on Tatum Bell to discuss the whole Rudi Johnson Luggage incident this morning and I promised you yesterday that I'd get the audio for you to listen to and here it is.....
Man, it's really hard not to believe him after that and you have to feel bad for the guy. If it went down as he says, and was an accident, it would be a shame for his career to end on that note. Patrick was right though, that missing money and underwear is what's causing this whole thing to go on. If the other guy, or someone close to him, was the one who took it then he really need to call him out.
Oh and one more thing.....when Bell said, "I never had any baggage. I've never been in any trouble," right after the 3 minute mark, I almost lost it.

I don't know what you almost lost it to, but for me it was "I don't have any baggage," metaphorically.
That and the fact that Tatum Bell likes to hear Tatum Bell say Tatum Bell.
When he said what line??
I'm still wondering why we haven't heard anyone asking the guy whose bags he was supposed to be getting what happened once Bell dropped them off. Isn't this the obvious next step?
Hahaha...my bad I forgot the line. Yes it was the baggage line. Too funny.
I don't know if he did it or not, but as a criminal defense lawyer, I can tell you that 90% of my clients say they didn't do it, then admit it later when the evidence stacks up against them and they're faced with going to trial. So, him going on radio and saying that doesn't make me want to believe him any more.
even if he didn't do it, shouldn't he just clear up his name by giving the chick 200 bucks and buying the same exact underwear Rudi had
seems like that would solve the problem
First off this has to be one of the strangest stories I have heard in the sports world in a long time. The whole thing is just rediculous. Someone stole Rudi Johnsons' drawers. I mean come on...who is that hard up that they need to steal some boxers from someone. But you can be rest assured that those suckers are going to find themselves on Ebay here pretty soon. I live here in the D and I have heard a few different things that were not talked about in this interview. Or maybe it was but I wasn't listening closely enough. But the bags in question were returned by a mysterious woman who people assume is the girlfriend of the other guy. Tatum Bell's friend who he took the bags for. I don't necessarily totally blame TB for this. If indeed he was looking to do a friend a favor. It's just the timing of it that looks fishy. Why didn't Victor Degrate (the DE that was cut a few days before) ask Tatum to pick up the bags before monday? Well maybe he did and Tatum didn't for whatever reason and when he was cut figured he wouldn't have another chance to pick them up. But if someone asks you to pick something up for them would you just pick up anything that was lying around? Or would you call them and make sure you were picking up the right ones? The whole thing is hilarious and sad at the same time.
Rudi Johnson was on the Best Damn Sports Show Podcast yesterday...amazing interview. You can find it at Foxsports.com on the Best Damn page, or on iTunes.
