The Manny Sports Center Commercial You'll Never See Again

Friday, August 01, 2008

Obviously last night's Sports Center, when it wasn't airing a Mummy 3 preview, had a lot about Manny. All of it was very repetitive until the very end of the show when they decided to show a SC Commercial that Ramirez had taken part in. Here's the spot featuring Jay Harris, Steve Levy, and Manny himself....

Hilarious. Since he's in a Red Sox jersey they said it can be never shown again. I have no idea why they're not able to keep it but apparently last night and this morning are the only times you get to see it on ESPN. You can watch here though whenever you want though.

That's Jay Harris, not Stan Verrett

Thank god Manny got traded - we won't have to watch that drivel 20 times a day now. Those commercials, much like ESPN, just plain suck now

Did you guys catch the other Manny commercial- they played it during baseball tonight. It had Kenny Mayne(I think) putting up a poster in his office and uses some pine tar from Manny's batting helmet.

Some of the sportscenter commercials are still goddamn funny. My current favorite is SVP and Jimmy Rollins breaking down tape of SVP on the air. My favorite exchange:

SVP: 'is that bad?'
JR: 'it ain't good!'

Great deadpan delivery...and yes, if manny had remained in boston, we'd be subjected to this ad 100 times a day due to the obvious and glaring love affair bristol has with all things SAWKS.
