Your NFL Week One Announcing Schedule
Monday, September 01, 2008
The majority of these are confirmed, but one or two are being slid into place by process of elimination. The fun gets underway on Thursday with the Giants and Skins and then ends on Monday with the JV MNF Team calling the Broncos and Raiders. I'm also trying to figure out why Steve Tasker isn't with Gujo this weekend, but I'm pretty sure it has to do with Dick Enberg being in Flushing, New York for the U.S. Open.
Here's the schedule....hope you got who you wanted (thanks to SS for the help) ....

So there you have 'em. We're also bringing back the live-blogs for Sunday and Monday night, so S2N is on the Bears-Colts game and I'll be attempting another double header on Monday night. It's going to be a hell of a season and it's only three days away!

I thought Bonnie was out of the sideline business business.
yes i have al and john thursday night and jim and phil for the jets, NYC
Another year, another Grossman-Orton arm wrestling match. The MNF game would like a "decent" matchup if the Bears had a QB...and receivers...never mind. I'm sure it'll be fun anyway.
Oh yeah. I forgot. I find it hilarious that Brian Billick is now a color commentator. No special reason.
Didnt ESPN get rid of their sideline reporters
Early O/U on butchered names by Dick Stockton: 4
Over/under on the number of cheesesteaks Tony Siragusa eats in Philly: 5. By the way, what in the blue hell is a "nugget alert"?
Sigh...why do the Eagles have to start off the year with these clowns?...I seriously prefer Joe Buck.
From 1st Anon:
True. I forgot about Bonnie leaving sideline, but ESPN did use sideline reporters during the preseason, so I speculate that they intend to use them, although I believe they will de-emphasize them.
Have no clue if ESPN will decide to send a sideline reporter, and if so, who to their second game.
Is the 7:00 pm time shown for Thursday night close to the kick-off time? If so, that is awesome. The game will actually end before midnight. Or - is that just when the 2 hour pre-game show starts? It may take that long to introduce everybody on set for Football Night in America.
no its early for the republican convention
Why do you insist on publishing a schedule before it is even confirmed by the networks?
shoddy work.
@ Anon 9:20 PM, it has been confirmed by radio stations and announcers themselves.
Shoddy comment.
Isn't that the opposite of shoddy work? Finding out before the releases come out? I'm confused.
Charissa Thompson about the only reason I'd watch Seattle / Buffalo.
Nischelle Turner?
So no B-squared to go with Mike-cubed for the second MNF game?

Gosder Cherilus, anyone?
Brennaman and Billick? Very interesting pairing.
It might be because of salary cap purposes, but why is a certain #7 QB still on ESPN's Atlanta Falcons roster?
"Matt Vasgersian, JC Pearson and Nischelle Turner"
Eddie Murphy approves.
Is Charissa Thompson hot? We get the Bills/Seahawks in Utah in the early window on FOX? Otherwise, I think Ian Eagle and Solomon Wilcots are underrated but they hit the jackpot as the Titans-Jaguars game may be the game of the day on CBS. Of course, Nantz and Simms can't go there because Brett Favre won't be playing in Nashville, Tenn. Go BRONCOS!!!
Flip Vasgersian/Pearson and Stockton/Baldinger on their games. The V/P team will be in Atlanta and the Dick/Baldy team will be in SD. Learned from a source.

If you are going to add sideline reporters, don't you think all of them should be included?
ESPN will definitely use Suzy Kolber and Michele Tafoya on Monday Night Football. I suspect that Bonnie Bernstein is working the 2nd game on MNF, as she did last year. Pam Oliver also is the regular sideline reporter for Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.
